Research Resources

Rutgers4U (855-652-6819) is a confidential support line offering emotional and therapeutic support to Rutgers students, staff, faculty, and their families.

The Return to Research Portal is now accepting requests for approval of UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS for research THIS SUMMER in accordance with existing policies guiding research activity.

Eligibility:

  • ALL UNDERGRADUATES (Freshmen to Senior) if the research can be conducted safely as endorsed by the Research Advisor and Department Chair or equivalent and safe social distancing requirements are met.
  • HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS will NOT be permitted on-campus this summer.
  • Weekly COVID-19 testing is STILL required

Submitting a Request for Approval

Undergraduates must be approved EVERY SEMESTER, regardless of prior approval status.

ALL undergraduates MUST be submitted through the Return to Research Portal for SUMMER research, EVEN if they were previously approved in the Spring

Faculty can initiate a request directly through the online form, and will need to enter the NetIDs for the undergraduate student. Click here to View a 20-sec tutorial on how to find someone’s NetID.

Tracking Requests & Monitoring Compliance

The Return to Research Portal will serve as the gateway for department chairs (or equivalents) to track the progress of new requests and monitor weekly COVID-19 test clearances.
