A Pivotal Milestone
Each year, we celebrate this annual nationwide event known as Match Day, when our students open envelopes to learn where they will complete their residencies, the next step in their medical education.
Nationally Renowned Residency Programs
Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School had 172 graduating seniors participate in the Match processes for 2025. Many members of the class will fulfill their residencies at nationally renowned schools and hospitals, including Harvard Medical School, Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, New York University Grossman School of Medicine, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Georgetown Med Star Washington Hospital Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Among these students, 40 (23%) matched to a New Jersey program, with 25 (15%) matching to a Rutgers residency program.
