Stoma Care



ALIZA RUBIN 
is a national and board-certified Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who has been at Rutgers for over 7 years.  She works collaboratively with the Colon and Rectal Surgeons providing care for a variety of benign anorectal conditions. Aliza is nationally certified in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing and is working on increasing access for Ostomates to care and support.  She takes pride in her ability to utilize the caring and holistic approach of nursing and translating that to a pleasant, patient-centered provider approach.  Aliza received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University and graduated with honors.  She went on to work as a staff Nurse at Virtua Health on an acute surgical care unit while obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing.  She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a board-certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse.  She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, New Jersey State Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.
