2014The 2014 Global Health Fair was held on December 3,2014 at the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard located at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in downtown New Brunswick. This year we had a great number of posters (more than 70 posters ) and it was a very successful event. The Global Health Fair was jointly sponsored by the office of Global Health at RWJMS and the GAIA programs at Rutgers. The keynote speaker was Dr. Mafudia A. Suaray, MD, MPH spoke on the " Ebola: Local and Global Perspective”. Below you will find some posters from students and faculty presenting work conducted in many countries around the globe.
2013This year's event was the first at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since it officially became part of Rutgers University as part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). The Fair was held on December 3, 2013 at the Main Auditorium of the Medical School at 675 Hoes Lane, Piscataway NJ. The keynote address was given by Dr. Brian Strom, the new chancellor at RBHS. Students and faculty across all Rutgers professional schools were in attendance. Below you will find posters from students and faculty presenting work conducted in many countries around the globe.
2012This year's fair was a collaborative event between UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The event was held on Wednesday, November 28th at the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard located at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in downtown New Brunswick. The keynote speaker was Dr. Francis Barchi, Assistant Professor, School of Social Work at Rutgers University. Students and faculty across all UMDNJ professional schools and Rutgers were in attendance. Below you will find posters from students and faculty presenting work conducted in many countries around the globe.
2011The Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Annual Global Health Fair was held on December 1, 2011 at the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard located at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in downtown New Brunswick. The keynote speaker was Dr. Dirk Schroeder, Associate Professor of Global Health at Emory University. Students and faculty across all UMDNJ professional schools were in attendance. 2009UMDNJ showcased its faculty and students who are helping to solve world health problems at a Global Health Fair held at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School on December 2, 2009. The event included a keynote address by Adel Mahmoud, MD, PhD, senior policy analyst at Princeton University, on America’s role in tackling global health problems. John Fiddler, RN, ANP, a field mission worker from Doctors Without Borders gave a presentation on his medical missions to Burundi and Chad. A panel discussion followed, with University-wide representatives describing global health programs and opportunities available at their schools. A highlight of the evening was the poster session in which pre- and postgraduate students from RWJ and NJ Medical School, NJ Dental School, and the Schools of Nursing, Public Health, & Health Related Professions presented posters on their recent medical missions abroad.
