Graduate Medical Education

Graduate Medical Education at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School plays a vital role in our mission of transforming health care for New Jersey and the nation through innovation and excellence in education, discovery, patient and family-centered care and addressing the health of our diverse community. With over 450 residents and fellows in more than 40 programs, RWJMS provides a broad range of outstanding training programs from primary care residencies to sub-specialty fellowships. Upon completion of training, our graduates are well prepared to provide the highest level of patient care and to be leaders in academic medicine.

Accreditation Status

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Graduate Medical Education Office of the Dean received official ACGME notification advising Continued Accreditation for 4 years effective April 13, 2012. A self study visit is tentatively scheduled for 04/01/2020.
